Where is GMTech?

In the past I have often compared the latest magazine releases from MarkUp and GameMakerTech. After Game Maker Magazine issue 3 and MarkUp issue 13 were released in April I was asked by Eyas if I would be making a comparison post. I replied that I would probably not until GameMakerTech released their [...]

First hardcopy GM magazine announced

The Skyfire Insider is the first hardcopy GM magazine (it’s one of those things that you can touch in real life!): instead of reading it at your computer, read it anywhere you want to!
I have already ordered my own copy. I wonder if they ship to Finland with FedEx or a traditional newsletter…

GMFetch becomes a blog

From a magazine to a blog. I think this is a good idea, although the technical implementation doesn’t impress me.

Prodigy GM gone for good?

A recent look at the Prodigy GM website reveals that the website has been deleted. According to nateistoraw (Prodigy GM’s owner), awardspace which they were using to host the site, deleted the website for spamming what a shock. I can’t say I am too ‘upset’ I am sure you all know my feelings [...]

Russell’s Quarterly, issue 2

Yet another high quality issue of Russell’s Quarterly. This time with 81 (!) pages.
Although not strictly a Game Maker magazine, it’s still one of the best. One thing I’ve noticed that it seems to have a small focus on old (Nintendo) games. "Next time: Wisdom Tree" only pushes this point further.
Great job, Russell.

GM Fetch comes to an ending

It appears Gm Fetch is already ending after just one issue. Gamma6 announced that GM Fetch is coming to a closing quite surprising after only one, four page issue.
I will probably reuse the name for an upcoming program I am making.
Some of his reasons include.
- Sandy Duncan never responded to our interview questions, even [...]

YoYo and the Community

Since appearing on the Game Maker scene at the start of 2007 YoYo Games have faced criticism from certain members of the community.
Most of this criticism is about poor customer service and problems with the Digital Rights Management that is used to protect Game Maker 7.
