GM Station “Magazine”

A new GameMaker magazine website has been launched.  GM Station takes the form of a single webpage.

Included:

  • Copy of Sandy Duncan’s introduction to the Save our Planet competition (which ends in four days).
  • Screenshot of the Mubbly Tower page on the YoYo Games website.
  • Reviews:  “This here is a really good pinball game. The sounds are great, the music is great, the graphics are average, and the game play quite enjoyable” [sic]
  • 3 interviews with identical questions.
  • Apparently a pro copy of Game Maker and $10 are up for grabs as prizes for sending a static ‘Lucky code’ to the magazines owner.

What do you think?

  1. Well, I know it wasn’t me. Whether or not it was my IP! I know it wasn’t me, nobody is going to convince me other wise. And I don’t think anyone would use my computer to do that. Pretty sure.

    Err… old article. lol

  2. That doesn’t make any sense. I know for a fact I didn’t post that. Did you edit the image or something?

By the way, Game Maker Station Magazine was cancelled before that was posted. If that was me, why would I post about a cancelled magazine? That doesn’t make any sense.

GMSM was replaced by GMJ – http://gamemakerjournal.blogspot.com/

Article Author: “Hmmm, this website is strange, it’s made up of a single page. *DING!* Hey, I wonder what link does. Nah! It probably doesn’t go anywhere. I wonder why it’s at the top and bottom of the page. Oh well, I’ll just write my article anyway. Wait, what does the link say? Hmmm, Return to Game Maker Station Website. Interesting. These stupid people only have one page for the website! ha ha!”
    LOL

Wow Fred you are mature. The GM station ‘magazine’ consists of a single webpage. The article is not about anything else that may be on the site.

  5. All website annoucements are made on the forum rather than the website. If people were smart enough to check the forums they would have all updated information on both the website and on the magazine and other various projects GMS may be currently working on.

  6. @Fred
On your website, if you click on Magazine it says “We are proud to release GM Station’s first Magazine ever! The Dec 2008 issue” – Josh(GM Station Owner). Doesn’t ‘release’ mean it’s released (as in, available to public)?

Also, it is a ‘single webpage’, the first issue can be found here, that is one webpage even if you download it, you still open the one html webpage.

  7. It says it on the magazine cover. Please pay more attention.
The magazine wasn’t launched actually. The website tells you that it’s a WIP and to click on it for a sneak peak.

I’d rather not insult your blog since you do have some decent articles. But this one is kind of stupid.

First you say that a magazine page is our website? Didn’t you notice there was a link at the beginning of the .html address? Anyways please pay more attention next time. If you can’t find something ask GMS staff rather than posting an article about it. I think I’m the only one of GMS staff who has ever visited here so lucky you that you caught me when you did.

I probably won’t return. So I pass my regards onto the Game Maker Blog staff and owner.

    ~Fred

  8. Fred: And exactly where does it say that it was “incomplete”? It’s kind of stupid to launch a “magazine” if it’s not even done yet… FAIL!!
