NAL is right.

Also, the GM for Mac isn't completed yet, and because you can only use the iPhone SDK on a mac they'd have to complete that first. And bug test it, release a few more versions etc. before they could add iPhone capability.

Andrew McCluskey :I personally can see why they chose PSP first. It’s easier to port things (PSP has a layout which can mimick keyboard controls, it’s more powerful than iPhone so less modifications are needed for games) and, quite honestly, the iPhone is fairly oversaturated at the moment. Plenty of people have a PSP but PSN isn’t packed to the brim with hundreds of thousands of games like the iTunes store is. iPhone is certainly a viable market but I think their priorities are right.

I have no idea how hard it might be to get into the PSN, but the App Store is surely easy to get into as long as you don't break Apple's rules. The PSN has to have much higher quality standards, making the Game Maker to PSP port kinda pointless for most GM games.

It's great!
I have hope that games created with this won't be homebrew, but legal PSP games.
It looks fantastic! I am looking forward for it.
If it wasn't homebrew I would use GM more recently.
Sorry for mistakes, but I'm not English ;)

Yes, it has been the most popular each week by some margin except when http://gamemakerblog.com/2010/01/01/2009-100-game-maker-games-in-10-minutes/ first came out.
