And the decompiler drama continues. This time with a GM Obfuscator, which obviously obfuscates Game Maker files.
Keep in mind that this doesn’t prevent decompilation. But anybody who will decompile your game will have a hard time making sense out of it.

…Although this one is actually decent awesome. Russell’s Quarterly doesn’t really have that much of an focus on Game Maker, but game design instead, with reviews of the games Hunter’s Island, Fedora Spade, Death Worm and Shush. It’s also a 72 page read.

GMTV are back with a second weekend extra tutorial, this time explaining how to make a “Orbiting Effect” without using paths. Most of the tutorial seems fine although it is very fast and I hate the way that the code is given out.

GMtoolbox claims to offer a database of almost every Game Maker DLL and Extension ever released to the GMC.
A good clean design, lots of categories, almost 150 DLLs and to top it off a lovely AJAX search at the top of the page. Another great thing is that site is so simple [...]

Haven’t brought “The Game Maker’s Apprentice: Game Development for Beginners”, Mark Overmars and Jacob Habgood’s book? No, neither have I. If you are interested take a look on Google books.
Obviously the whole book isn’t on there but it will give you a good idea of what the book is like.
