Haven’t brought “The Game Maker’s Apprentice: Game Development for Beginners”, Mark Overmars and Jacob Habgood’s book? No, neither have I. If you are interested take a look on Google books.
Obviously the whole book isn’t on there but it will give you a good idea of what the book is like.

The books were sent to me as part of my involvement with the MarkUp magazine, where a future issue will contain reviews I have written on them. (I guess I have to read the books [...]

I noticed a few days back that one of the increasingly-at-each-others-throats magazines dedicated to GameMaker was billing itself as “A quality read” following the creation of a new WordPress site which looks suspiciously similar to the earlier website redesign of their rival.

Umm, no. Instead revelgames have decided to setup Game Maker Television, “a internet show that [...]

Maybe you have now. Well the domain was avalible and I [...]

A print version of the MarkUp Game Maker magazine.
Above: Cover
Below: Double page spread, page 17 (on the right) featuring my review of Forted.
Oh alright, not really. It didn’t come through my door, but it does exist.
A source tells me that GMKing are, or were, investigating producing a printed version of MarkUp.
My [...]

I was lucky enough to have been given a preview of the second episode of GMKing’s Game Maker podcast, which this week features Zack (a.k.a darksys92 on the GMC) stepping in for Eyas. The main difference is that this second episode at 19 minutes is about two-thirds the length of the pilot which, I [...]
