Yet another high quality issue of Russell’s Quarterly. This time with 81 (!) pages.
Although not strictly a Game Maker magazine, it’s still one of the best. One thing I’ve noticed that it seems to have a small focus on old (Nintendo) games. "Next time: Wisdom Tree" only pushes this point further.

It appears Gm Fetch is already ending after just one issue. Gamma6 announced that GM Fetch is coming to a closing quite surprising after only one, four page issue.
I will probably reuse the name for an upcoming program I am making.

And the decompiler drama continues. This time with a GM Obfuscator, which obviously obfuscates Game Maker files.
Keep in mind that this doesn’t prevent decompilation. But anybody who will decompile your game will have a hard time making sense out of it.

When the first issue of this magazine came along at the end of March I was surprised at the positive reviews it was getting at the GMC considering it had only four pages of content.
They are arrogant - slogganing their magazine with the phrase “Its not about beating the competition - because we’ve already won”, [...]

The similarities between the design issue 11 of GameMaker Tech and the recently released third issue of Game Maker Magazine are, well, very noticeable.

NPT thinks so. He has decent arguments: it uses a deprecated part of the DirectX API — and not even the newest version of it.

So far this month we are yet to see any new issues of the major Game Maker magazines.
MarkUp has been notably absent as it normally releases to a pretty strict schedule at the start of the month. Whilst GameMaker Tech have been delayed following several days downtime at their forum. Still they [...]
