YoYo Games, who are currently attending Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2014 in Europe, announced today that they are strengthening their strategic partnership with Microsoft by offering GameMaker Studio users the ability to publish their games to Xbox One. YoYo Games have also promised additional support for current Microsoft platforms including Windows RT, Windows 8.1, and Windows Phone 8.1, as well as support for future versions of the Windows operating system.

YoYo Games CEO Sandy Duncan has confirmed that GameMaker Studio 2.0 is currently in production. He stated on Twitter that “we’re working on GameMaker Studio 2.0” and that it will run natively on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
