Game Maker for PSP – Second Video

May 4th, 2010 by Philip Gamble | Categories: Development, Game Maker for PSP

YoYo Games have released a new video showing the progress of porting the Game Maker runner to PSP. As in the first video the demonstrated game is Chad Chisholm’s Skydiver.

There was also some news on the process for getting created games onto the PSP.

“PSP games will have to be submitted to YoYo games to get onto PSP, though we will release a product allowing you to see how games will run on the PC (and have the same restrictions as the PSP version).”

-Russell Kay

The game is still without background music but the speed has increased so that the game “is now very playable indeed”. A noticable omission from the video is a demonstration of how highscores would be entered – the highscores screen is shown but not used.

Amazing but I can see some graphic glitches…

That may just be from the recording itself.

    Again, very promising progress.

No, those are definitely texture glitches in-game. I imagine that’s their current priority.
