Almost 3 months since the initial release of Instant Play for FireFox 3.6, YoYo Games have finally released a fix.
A fix was released (by me) exactly 2 months ago at the Game Maker Community which leaves you wondering why it took a company like YoYo Games an additional 2 months to discover and fix the issue.
Hopefully this fix will begin to get more Firefox users back on the YoYo Games website!
“average GM user is more tech savvy than the average internet user”
About the worst evidence for this statement would be most games on the YoYo Games website.
Tech savvy != good at making good games.
Just saying.
@Baked Games
You can imagine it to be a lot more than 16% since the average GM user is more tech savvy than the average internet user, plus a lot of companies still force their employees to use IE, so that affects the market share numbers too.
Fire-what?
I switched to Chrome 🙂
Just installed Instant Play on Firefox 3.6.6. Works perfectly.
Even for a small team like YoYo Games, two months is a bit long to fix an issue that affects 16% of internet users*.
