    Prodigy GM gone for good?

A recent look at the Prodigy GM website reveals that the website has been deleted. According to nateistoraw (Prodigy GM’s owner), awardspace which they were using to host the site, deleted the website for spamming what a shock. I can’t say I am too ‘upset’ I am sure you all know my feelings for nateistoraw […] More

    Russell’s Quarterly, issue 2

Yet another high quality issue of Russell’s Quarterly. This time with 81 (!) pages. Although not strictly a Game Maker magazine, it’s still one of the best. One thing I’ve noticed that it seems to have a small focus on old (Nintendo) games. "Next time: Wisdom Tree" only pushes this point further. Great job, Russell. More

GM Fetch comes to an ending

It appears Gm Fetch is already ending after just one issue. Gamma6 announced that GM Fetch is coming to a closing quite surprising after only one, four page issue. I will probably reuse the name for an upcoming program I am making. Some of his reasons include. – Sandy Duncan never responded to our interview […] More

    YoYo and the Community

Since appearing on the Game Maker scene at the start of 2007 YoYo Games have faced criticism from certain members of the community. Most of this criticism is about poor customer service and problems with the Digital Rights Management that is used to protect Game Maker 7. More

    GM Obfuscator

Theme of third YoYo Games competition announced

It’s Co-Operation. The competition hasn’t officially been launched, but you know the theme… a strange decision I think. Plus Jim from YoYo Games has announced that the deadline for the second, ancient civilization, competition will be extended until midnight of Sunday 4th of May (GMT) because of YoYo Games’ downtime. Too bad they didn’t update […] More

    Why I dislike GM Fetch

When the first issue of this magazine came along at the end of March I was surprised at the positive reviews it was getting at the GMC considering it had only four pages of content. They are arrogant – slogganing their magazine with the phrase “Its not about beating the competition – because we’ve already […] More

    I love gmplanet

When Robin Monk’s Game Maker news aggregator service, gmplanet, was first released I was skeptical at the effect it would have on content producing Game Maker websites. I also feared that GameMaker.info, a customisable Game Maker startpage which I was a big fan of, would be damaged. More

    Stolen design, but…

The similarities between the design issue 11 of GameMaker Tech and the recently released third issue of Game Maker Magazine are, well, very noticeable. Starting with the front cover there are some obvious similarities. Three gray letters and 4 boxes on the right hand side listing the contents adorn both magazines – but this is […] More
