Weekend Community Links – Call of the Wild, Free Halo 4, EXE Creation Returns

Call of the Wild, a game by Anthony Case, has won the final $1000 Steam competition. YoYo Games have teamed up with Microsoft again for a new competition, branded as The Ultimate Experience. Entrants can win a copy of Halo 4, reimbursement on the Windows Stores, Xbox 360 consoles, and a backstage pass to Microsoft Studios. Entry is US only.

Mike Dailly has confirmed that a future update to GameMaker: Studio will bring back the ability to pack a GM:S project into a single executable file. The 1.1.754 update to GameMaker on Steam now allows users to have multiply instances of the program running at the same time. A demo of Death Ray Mantra (DRM) has been published to Steam Workshop for GameMaker: Studio along with a free pack containing all of the resources used in the game.
