Luke Graham’s long standing popular 39dll, which enables Game Maker programs to access HTTP sockets, has been successfully ported from Windows to Mac so that its features can be used within Game Maker 7 for Mac.
The PC version is used by a large proportion of multiplayer Game Maker games and those that make use of online functionality.
Uriel Griffin’s Mac version of 39dll, named 39dylib, is available to download at the GMC and he says the source code will be released soon.
39dll is great! I remember using it back in 2006 on my Demon Online game. Memories! lol
Good to see it moving over to mac!
Just for the correction, 39dll used Winsock, the Windows implementation of the UNIX BSD Sockets, which 39dylib (39dll for Mac) uses.
Heh, it’s cool the word is spreading about 39dylib. 🙂
39dll must be a part of built-in program language in gamemaker 9
“HTTP sockets”?
“Do online stuff”. Obviously my bad interpretation of the original 39dll post http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=90437
