Unsolved but solved

What in practise looks like a good idea can easily be misused, see here.

It would make so much more sense if there was some method in place for either topic creators or mods to show which problems were solved or unsolved so that the unsolved problems get the attention they deserve instead of being burried under solved threads.

Some people with solved problems also go over the top, by removing the thread title.

Come on people, think.

You have no idea how much I’ve begged Mark and YoYo to do something about this on the new forums once they are ready… for example, the MSDN forums let users vote on which replies were most helpfull and the topic creator can mark a topic as solved by simply selecting the message that answered the question… this enables users to simply view the question, and then click a single link to jump to the solution without having to sort through a jumble of garbage, conversation and speculation… on the GMC that could be very VERY usefull.
