Today my Computing tutor mentioned GameMaker, woot!
First time in 7 years anyone in the ‘real world’ has ever brought the subject up with me. He was considering running a ‘master class’ for year 9 (14-15 year olds).
I hear there is a Moodle GameMaker course somewhere, hopefully I will get a look at it.

Distributing games: the worst section ever. I mean, it used to be good, until somebody decided to ditch their job of moderating it at all. Straight to a list of problems:
No moderation: any topics that are dumb, useless and against forum rules stay alive for days
Nobody updating the pinned topics
13 year olds asking questions similar [...]

GMKing came third in the website category. Obviously the winner for this category was the site that is always going up [...]

I was hesitant about posting negative things about an individual, yes I have done it about games and websites in the past which is actually what led to change my mind. A forum username may provide an idea of who someone is, especially if they have filled in their profile details or have used [...]

The one half-decent thing that the YoYoGames forums had going for them was the fact that members were not allowed signatures.
However, this rule has changed so now we look forward to tacky animated banners and huge images on an already slow site, oh joy.
Quite why YoYoGames needed their own forum I don’t know. The [...]

Something must be wrong. YoYoGames have updated their typo blog 5 times in the past 7 days!
Keeping people informed of what is actually going on, what is the world coming too? Next you’ll be telling me they are going to make a version of GameMaker for the mac.
