After announcing back in April that the popular Game Maker Community “Cage Matches” would return Ablach Blackrat has finally set the date for the start of the first match – Saturday July 26th.
“So long as there are no other problems that Cage Match will return this Saturday, July 26th. I’m actually on a day trip Saturday so it’ll probably start Friday night at some point but I’d rather start it a little early then delay it yet again.”
Each week the GMC Cage Matches put two GameMaker games head to head for a public vote and discussion with the most popular game staying on for the next week to face a new challenger. It is uncertain whether the process will be the same following the relaunch.
Alright, the top games are being found out maybe I’ll enter a game some day, but I’d have to be working on a big project, maybe it will be a top down retro arcade shooter game, which has the features of retro quality going rather smashing and very high in detail all the way to a 6 six star rating.
