GameMaker Community “Reviewer’s Choice” Forum Still Redundant

In not-so-breaking news, the unpopular Reviewer’s Choice forum over at the official GameMaker Community board remains a neglected, inbred part of the community, where game reviews are written by and for the same people. Reviewer’s Choice allows game developers (namely hobbyists) to submit their GameMaker creations for review. A team of writers, made up of general forum-goers, play and review submitted games. The suggestion of removing the subforum has created passionate reaction. GMC reviewer Read more…

Fake Fred Fails – GMC attitude stinks

An immature GMC member has created an account with the username ‘FredFrederickson‘ which he was using to impersonate GMC global moderator FredFredrickson. This post is not written however to give attention to such stupidity of attention seekers, but instead to the attitudes of other community members including a moderator. After a good deal of confusion between members who quickly spotted the fake and those who were unable to stop the multiple discrepancies between the accounts Read more…

Tutorials and Examples to return

The long closed Tutorials and Examples forum at the Game Maker Community is set to re-open soon according to a forum moderator. New posts in the forum, which previously enabled GameMaker users to post “good, clear, concise and efficient tutorials and well documented examples that can be of great use to other Game Maker users”, were suspended after the forum was closed for a reorganisation in August. In the past all new topics required moderator Read more…
