GameMaker Blog is an independent source of news for users of YoYoGames’ Game Maker 8.0 software and the GameMaker Community.
As well as news Game Maker Blog also features comments, opinions and discussions on various, often controversial, Gamemaker and YoYo Games related matters. Topics regularly covered include the development of Game Maker 8 and the ports to Mac and Linux, the latest YoYo Games announcements, game making competitions and news about Game Maker publications and websites.
The Team
GameMaker Blog is managed by Philip Gamble a Computer Science student from the UK who has been a regular contributor to the MarkUp game development magazine as well as appearing in Game Maker related podcasts.
Andrew McCluskey (reviews editor) is from the UK has been using Game Maker for more than 6 years and has created many games including the Ne Touchez Pas and Innoquous series. He is also an ex-moderator at YoYoGames.com.
Brad Triebwasser has been using Game Maker for about 4 Years and is a co-founder of the webshow GameMakerTV. He is proficient in C++ which he has used to create DLLs and other applications.
tuntis, a Finnish student, is another regular blogger. His hobbies include reading books, programming and photography. He has strong opinions on certain topics which he is only too happy to express!
Joshua Pedroza from North Carolina runs The Game Maker Show, helps out with the development of GMVenture and moderates at various forums. In his spare time he enjoys making games and playing the Viola and Guitar.
Matt Scorah is a University student from Australia with an interest in the Game Maker media scene. He is currently working on Roket Games’ Planet Attack 2 project where he is doing graphic and storyline work.
Kay Johnson, UK, is the owner and an editor of the popular GameMaker magazine GameMaker Tech where he has managed a team of around 20 staff members. Kay has run the magazine since it started in November 2006.
Dan Eggers is leader of the GameMakerTV project in which he presents video reviews of GameMaker games and features interviews with prominent community members. Dan is 16 and from the United States.
