GameMaker Blog is an independent source of news for users of YoYoGames’ Game Maker 8.0 software and the Game Maker Community.
As well as news Game Maker Blog also features comments, opinions and discussions on various, often controversial, Gamemaker and YoYo Games related matters. Topics regularly covered include the development of Game Maker 8, ports to Mac and the runners for various portable devices including Game Maker for iPhone and iPad, PSP and Android. We also feature the latest YoYo Games announcements, game making competitions and news about Game Maker publications and websites.
The Team
GameMaker Blog is managed by Philip Gamble a final year Computer Science student from the UK who has contributed to various game development magazines and appeared in Game Maker podcasts.
Joshua is a part time freelance web designer & full time student, game design hobbyist, and budding journalist from New Zealand.
Andrew McCluskey is from the UK and has been using Game Maker for more than 7 years and has created many games including the Ne Touchez Pas, Innoquous and madnessMADNESSmadness series. He is an employee of YoYo Games.
Brad Triebwasser has been using Game Maker for about 4 Years and is a co-founder of the webshow GameMakerTV. He is proficient in C++ which he has used to create DLLs and other applications.
Jack Brockley is an 18-year-old student from the UK. While working with Game Maker for more than three years, Jack has been involved in various related projects such as GMTalk and OverByte. He has also recently delved into Flash development.
Matt Scorah is a University student from Australia with an interest in the Game Maker media scene. He is currently working on Roket Games’ Planet Attack 2 project where he is doing graphic and storyline work.
Josh Conley is a highschool student who lives in Ontario, Canada. He enjoys developing games, websites, and short videos with his friends. He also loves contributing his thoughts and opinions to game maker users and here on the Game Maker Blog.
Joshua Pedroza from North Carolina runs The Game Maker Show, helps out with the development of GMVenture and moderates at various forums. In his spare time he enjoys making games and playing the Viola and Guitar.
