First Look At New YoYo Games Logo
May 2, 2013
CEO Sandy Duncan has offered a first look at the brand new company logo for YoYo Games, the creators of the GameMaker Studio game development engine.
The new logo features a modern, minimalistic, and professional design. A subtle abstraction integrates the characters “YY” to form the shape of a yoyo. The logo is entirely gray-scale, with the exception of the company’s signature green note.

Actually this look professional 😉
I liked too much.
Honestly, it looks like two flipped lambda’s. Rule 34 Haskell logo, yolo.
I really like the design. Very simple, but with a lot of room for interpretation. I like logos that unfold their meaning bit by bit.
the logo is very nice and seems proffessional but its a bit blank too 🙁 i hoped something more from it
Sometimes less is more.
I think they will be changing the studio one:
@GameDevDan: “if you change the studio one that guy who got it tattooed on his arm will go mental xD”
@lordoftheyoyo: “@GameDevDan I’m painfully aware of that….”
Love it! hope they use this style with GM:Studio, I’d be all for it!
At least they didn’t change the Game Maker Studio Logo… Haha
I wish they did. Hopefully that day is on the horizon! 🙂
