List of Successfully Funded GameMaker Kickstarter Projects

Independent game developers seeking to raise funds for their projects have been turning to the popular crowdfunding website Kickstarter as a means of doing so. A number of GameMaker projects have appeared on Kickstarter, and while not all have been successful, several have.

We’ve compiled a comprehensive list of GameMaker projects that have been funded on the platform.

Barkley 2 – $120,335 raised

“An open world action roleplaying game with heavy emphasis on exploration, choice, character development and discovery. It combines the focus on strong characters and narrative of Eastern RPGs with the non-linearity and openness of Western RPGs.”

“A story-driven metroidvania game. The game features top-shelf pixel graphics and animation reminiscent of 16 and early 32-bit era, with lush, varied environments, tons of animation and detail, and some crazy-huge setpieces.”

    (simply because we have had a huge graphical overhaul since then!)

    It is really great to see how GM is entering the spotlight, especially at the top end! I only just watched a Totalbiscuit video earlier, regarding Hero Siege, and the game he compared it to in depth was Risk of rain, another GM game! It’s really inspiring seeing GM take the spotlight and have so many Indie games popping into the top end!
